A Brief History of Nova Enterprises Limited
Nova Enterprises Limited was founded in 1967 by brothers Louie, Jim and Jack MacKay with the opening of a three bay garage in Brookside, Nova Scotia. An expansion was started in 1973 with a building adjacent to the original garage. In 1980 we became a fully franchised Freightliner truck dealership.

In 1983 we relocated the head office/main shop and built the first phase of the current 19-bay/16 acre facility to Truro Heights at Exit 13 off of the 102 Highway. 24-hour operations began in June 1995 while the 5-bay Trailer Service Division opened in June 1997.
March 1999 brought the expansion of the Dartmouth Shop located in the Burnside Industrial Park. The Great Dane Trailer's franchise was acquired in 2000. Nova Enterprises currently employees more than 115 hard working and dedicated staff members and still has the same strong customer service focus that it did in 1967.
